I've been on the keto diet for five years now, and it does have benefits when it comes to weightlifting. I can have a cup of coffee and then throw around a bunch of heavy weight before breakfast. I don't need to eat anything to be able to fuel a workout. I have ready access to body fat at any time. Nothing better for an athlete than abundant energy 24/7.
